The Jumbo Floating Restaurant, decorated in the style of an ancient Chinese imperial palace, was designed and built by Hong Kong magnate, Stanley Ho for HK$ 30 million. Since opening in October 1976, it has attracted over 30 million visitors. Adjoining is the Tai Pak seafood restaurant. Shuttle barges and sampans bring visitors from piers along Aberdeen Promenade. There is also a frequent shuttle service for visitors arriving by taxi at the Shun Wan Pier, opposite the entrance.
