The varieties we are offering have all been tested in this section and will all do well. Each ^aiiety ripens at a different period so that a selection may be made to cover the entire fruiting season. Pears should be planted twenty-five feet apart each way, and after the first season should be cultivated but little, as we have found that where no cultivation is given the trees are less susceptible to blight. PRICES. FIRST CLASS. 4-6 feet, 75c each; $ per 10; $ per 100. ORCHARD SIZE. 2-3 feet, tied in bunches of 10 and sold in multiples of 10, $ per 100; less than 100, 35c each. Koonce. Very early. Tree a vigorous grower; com- paratively free from blight. Fruit medium to large; skin yellow; flesh highly flavored. Kieffer Pear. Bartlett. Probably the most popular of all Pears; large; juicy; yellow; sweet and of high value for marketing or canning purposes; bears early and abundantly. Duchess. Very large; fine quality; keeps well into the Winter. Tree a strong, vigorous grower. Buerre d'Anjou. A large, greenish Pear shaded with crimson; highly flavored; rich; vinous and of ex- cellent quality. Tree a vigorous grower and good bearer. Flemish Beauty. A large, beautiful, melting, sweet Pear. Tree vigorous and succeeds well in most parts of the country. Le Conte. Large, with a smooth, yellow skin; flesh white, firm and juicy. Tree is free bearer and vig- orous in growth. Garber. Resembles Kieffer in size, appearance and quality. Will succeed almost anywhere; is ex- cellent for canning and preserving and recom- mended
