Business has fallen off during the last week, due to the warm weather and the moving of the people to their summer homes at the lakes. There is also a shortage of flowers, but there is suffi- cient stock to take care of the work. This is chiefly funeral work and also an occasional wedding. C. H. A. Convention. The program for the convention of the Canadian Horticultural Association, to be held at Hamilton, Ont., August 10 to 13, is about completed. The morning and afternoon sessions of the first day will be spent discussing the advisability of a new constitution and the adoption of a new name. The proposed name is the Society of Canadian Florists. The afternoon of the second day will be spent on a trip to Grimsby, where the Ofield range is located. The election of officers will be held the afternoon of the third day and the annual banquet will be held in the evening. The
