Shimanek Covered Bridghe red with white trim spans Thomas Creek in Linn County Oregon it has louvered windows and is Howe truss design with a white painted interior The first bridge built at this location was put in place about 1861 In 1904 it was rebuilt and subsequently washed out in 1921 A replacement lasted until 1927 when it was replaced by a fourth bridge only to have that bridge damaged in the Columbus Day windstorm of 1962 The fifth and curent bridge has been in place since 1966
