Sheep pens. Empty Taunton Livestock market not on a market day, months before closure.

Taunton Livestock market. Photo taken months before last ever market held on this site in January 2008. Market operations then moved to a purpose built modern market at Sedgemoor Auction Centre at North Petherton with easy access to M5 at Junction 24. Taunton had been a market town for about 1000 years and the market had been held on this particular city centre site since 1929.
