Draining Somerset Levels floods. High-powered pumps clearing flood water on the Somerset Levels during the floods of the winter of 2013 to 2014. This water is being pumped into the River Parrett. This area, which is only metres above sea level, is former marshland that has been drained and reclaimed for agriculture. Heavy rainfall from December 2013 to February 2014 caused severe flooding in the area. Photographed in February 2014, in Somerset, UK.
