DRYOPTERIS AEMULA x ABBREVIATA In September, 1967 when on fieldwork in connection with the British Museum (Natural History) Isle of Mull Survey, Mr Alan Eddy drew my attention to an unusual Dryopteris growing on steep mossy slopes of An Coire, a birch-oak wood on the S W shore of Loch Don. There was a single clone 60 cm across, a vigorous plant coming from a well-branched rootstock. Frequent over the hillside were.
