Jason Collins' number 98 Brooklyn Nets basketball jersey is seen amongst other players' uniforms at the NBA store in New York on Tuesday, March 4, 2014. The jersey is the top seller on the National Basketball Association shopping website. Collins is the first openly gay, active player in not only basketball but any of the major sports leagues and he chose the number 98 in honor of Mathew Shepard, a gay University of Wyoming student who was savagely beaten to death in 1998.
