After leaving college I taughtschool in Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Illinois. The lastschool I taught was in Alliance, O., where I was superintend-ent of the Union Schools. I graduated at the Ohio State andUnion Uaw College in Cleveland in 1862, and the same yearI was admitted to the bar to practice in both State and UnitedStates Courts, and opened an office in Cleveland, O.
