Antique Chinese Relief Moulded Famille Rose Export Porcelain Mug. Qianlong or Jiaqing Period


Very beautiful Chinese bell-form porcelain mug with finely relief-moulded reserves on a fish-roe underglaze blue diaper ground. Five cartouches with Famille Rose decoration featuring a figural scene with mother and child, floral sprays and lingzhi mushrooms. Scattered between the cartouches are various raised reserves moulded as bats, butterflies and flowers. Mug stands on a relatively tall tapered round foot. Height: 11 cm Origin: China Date of production: late 18th or early 19th century (Qianlong or Jiaqing period) Material: porcelain
