Following the shooting and subsequent death of Jo Cox, Labour MP for Batley and Spen, nationwide vigils had been held. The National Assembly of Wales (Senedd) held a peace vigil which included a gathering of two hundred people representing all communities within the City. The vigil included speeches by assembly members, Welsh MPs and Cardiff City councillors.
