A boat taking part in the Vogalonga and decorated with flowers arrives at the finish in Canale Di Cannaregio Venice Veneto Italy

The Vogalonga is a non competitive race first held in 1975 with the message to protest against the growing number of powerboats in Venice and the swell damage they cause to the city. Any kind of rowing boat can take part and the course is 30 kilometres long. The number of participants has grown to thousands from all over the world.
