Hong Kong, 10 December 2010. More than 1000, fresh sharkfins are drying on Fung mat Street on Hong Kong island. Hong Kong imported more than 9,300 tonnes of dried and frozen shark fins last year. It is estimated that the city accounts for 50 per cent to 80 per cent of the global trade.
