YOKOSUKA, Japan (Dec. 15, 2016) - Commanding Officer of the 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), Capt. Matthew Paradise, left, poses for a photo with the Commanding Officer of JS Uraga (MST 463). Uraga is Blue Ridge's sister ship from the Japan Maritime Self Defense Force. Blue Ridge is currently in an extensive maintenance period in order to modernize the ship to continue to serve as a robust communications platform in the 7th Fleet area of operations.
