Also on this table are candelabra of gilt bronze, castand chased, showing figures of Love uplifting large stemsof lilies, of the style and period of Louis Seize. At thebottom of the page is a candelabrum of lapis-lazuli quartz andgilt bronze, cast and chased. The form is that of a tripodsupported by sphinxes of French 18th century type. Withinthe tripod is coiled a serpent. The ornamentation comprises 352 Louis XVI. TABLE, CANDELABRUM, AND GUERIDON. Last Half 18th Century.
