Horizontal close up of the front entrance of the 'Apple Market' at Covent Garden on a sunny day.

Horizontal close up of the 'Apple Market' handicraft stalls in Covent Garden in the evening sun. 'Convent Garden' (laterly corrupted to Covent Garden as we know it today) was the name given during the reign of King John (1199–1216), to a 40 acre patch of ground in what was then the county of Middlesex. This area today is dominated by cafes, shops and street performers busking all year round entertaining passers-by.
