SAN DIEGO (Nov. 6, 2018) - Sailors aboard amphibious transport dock ship USS John P. Murtha assist NASA personnel in off-loading a Boilerplate Test Article November 6 following an Underway Recovery Test (URT). URT is part of a government interagency effort to safely practice and evaluate recovery processes, procedures, hardware and personnel in an open ocean environment that will be used to recover the Orion spacecraft upon its return to Earth.
