An honour dagger presented to war invalids - "Pugnale d'Onore per Mutilati e Invalidi", Nickel-plated blade of diamond section, one half double-edged towards the point. The aluminium handle forged in one piece, the quillons terminating into eagle-head finials and bearing the shield with fasces and/or the war invalids' badge. The grip ribbed lengthwise with a lion's head pommel. Silver-plated (rubbed) brass scabbard with suspension bar on the back. Length circa 33 cm. Extremely rare weapon of honour, seldom awarded.
