View NE of lynchet ramps on Iron Age terraced fields NE of Maen y Bardd dolmen on the SE slopes of Tal y Fan above the Vale of Conwy, North Wales. The wall was originally high enough to hold livestock; ramps & gaps with wicket gates allowed animals to be moved between fields. Other contemporary field boundaries run up & downhill at right angles to the major terrace line.
