Prehistoric sedentar}^ jx'oples had wandered over these waste lands and left there the in- dubitable relics of their distinctive culture. Fragments of their broken vessels identify the makers as belonging to the same primi- tive Pueblo stock as that represented by the ruins near St. George, Pipe Spring, Kanab, and elsewhere.
