The kiva ( %. 102) of this ruin is typical of a clitT-house architecture is normal, the floor being cut down a short distanceinto the solid rock and covered with a white earthy deposit. Theroof was supported on six pilasters lietween each pair f)f which thereis a bancjuette. that on the south side being larger than the the floor there is a circular rtre pit, near which is a deflector facinga ventilator. There is also a large sil^apfi or ceremonial opening inthe floor. The surface of the north banquette has its ledge loweredto a level below that of the others, and in the wall above it is a recessthat served, no doubt, for the idol.
