Little Venice comprises a row of beautifully restored fishermen's cottages on the side of the River Regnitz in Bamberg, Bavaria, Germany. The half-timbered buildings are medieval and each house has a tiny garden by the river and some have balconies. In August, Little Venice, forms the picturesque backdrop for the 'Sandkerwa' with the fishermen's jousting contest.
