Brendan McLane, 6th Fleet Maritime Operations Center director and a former commanding officer of USS Carney (DDG 64), as he departs a change of command ceremony aboard USS Carney Nov. 5, 2016. Carney, an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is conducting a routine patrol in the 6th fleet area of operations in support of national security interests in Europe.
