Prices have dropped materially. Business has dropped off quite heavily, although some nice opportunities are occurring for wedding and dinner decorations. There is, however, a general complaint of poor business and -this applies to many lines. Some choice stock is be- ing received in roses and snapdragon, the latter being exceptionally fine. It was surprising to note the large number of potted plants that were left over after Easter. The business this year was but fair, although not falling below expectations. Corsage bouquets were in greater demand this year than ever before, but they were mostly of the dollar variety. High priced plants failed to find a market; everything had to be of a medium price or it stuck. Various Notes. Although it is reported that fewer peddlers' licenses have been taken out this year than ever before, it does not seem as though the streets are any the less populated by those vending flowers. As a result of the agitation by the florists, these peddlers will come under a closer watch on the part- of the police officials. Fred H. Kramer is confined to his home by illness. He had a narrow es- cape from an attack of pneumonia, but
