Combined images from the Subaru Telescope and Hubble Space telescope of the Southern Pinwheel Galaxy (M83, NGC 5236) with stellar tidal stream. This spiral galaxy lies million light years from Earth, in the constellation of Hydra. Above it can be seen a stellar stream, an association of stars which are the remnants of globular cluster or dwarf galaxy, now pulled apart and stretched out along its orbit by tidal forces.
