Still, man is by natuie a sportsman, and the Turkmans appre-ciate the qualities of a good falconer, the term avgi being still a lauda-tory one, and many of their chiefs feel flattered by it. When they see aEuropean excel in their own line, they are much pleased, and look uponhim as one of themselves.
