The Judges Lodgings Museum, Lancaster, Lancashire, Unnited Kingdom, 14th September 2016 The Judges Lodgings Museum in Lancaster is one of five museums in Lancashire that will be closed at the end of September whilst plans are being explored to transfer to four as yet unnamed organisations and re open the Judges Lodgings in Lancaster along with the Museum of Lancashire in Preston, Fleetwood Museum, Queen St Mill Textile Museum in Burnley and Helmshore Mills Textile Museum in Rossendale. The museums where earmarked for closure by Lancashire County Council at the beginning of this year in an effort to effect budget savings in the mean time the Museums will be placed into a care and maintenance programme ahead of a planned transfer in the new year
