Picture dated December 13th shows Keith Tyler who has skated on the Fens for over 60 years out on a frozen Fen near Ely on Tuesday morning and making the most of the freezing water logged fields only have a couple of inches of water covering them making it safe and perfect for skating. Skaters made the most of the freezing weather out on the frozen Cambridgeshire Fens today (Tues). Shallow waters in the Fens have been turned into an enormous natural ice rink after a week of sub-zero temperatures. It comes as snow showers are set to continue in northern and eastern parts of Scotland today, according to the Met Office. Many other areas will remain dry, with early freezing fog lifting but it will still be very cold. It will be cloudier in southern England and south Wales.
