The Bronze Woman statue, depicting an African-Caribbean woman and child held aloft is said to be the first of its kind on permanant display in England.
After many years of fundraising, the Bronze Woman Project unveiled a statue of a mother and child in south London in time to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the first immigrants from the Carribean on the Windrush.
