It consists essentially in covering the plants with glass. This protects them from dust, and by confining the moisture which is con- stantly exhaled by the leaves, gives them a humid atmosphere. It also assists materially in equalizing the temperature, and shielding from the effects of the sud- den changes which may oc- cur in the room.
