HMS Echo (H87) is one of two Echo class survey ships in service with the Royal Navy, the other being HMS Enterprise (H88). Both ships are based at Devonport Naval Base, Plymouth, UK. In 2014, HMS Echo was involved in the search for MH370, the missing Malaysian airliner that is widely thought to have crashed into the sea off Western Australia.
