A typical 'modern' wheelhouse on an ocean liner of the 1930's (believed to be RMS Berengaria). The Cunard liner Berengaria ( formerly SS Imperator) was the largest passenger ship in the Between 1934 and 1938 the vessel sailed the Southampton to New York route via Cherbourg. During the years of US prohibition, Berengaria was used for discounted Prohibition-dodging cruises, which attracted the nickname "Bargain-area"
