Halong Bay is usually photographed in bright sun with blue skies. This image was taken when the mists had filled the bay with an eerie blue light.

Halong Bay, in the north of Vietnam, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It consists of 3000 plus islands that rise up out of the sea. Ha Long means “where the dragon descends into the sea.” Many of the islands have caves or grottoes carved out by the waves.
