The Monument of Ghetto Fighters Evacuation on 51 Prosta Street in Warsaw, Poland. 6 April 2017. In April 1943 Jewish resistance fighters fought against Nazi Germany's final effort to transport the remaining Ghetto population to KL Treblinka in German-occupied Poland during World War II. In the end of the uprising, on May 10th, 37 fighters escaped from the ghetto by the canals and through this hatch they walked out to the free zone © Wojciech Strozyk / Alamy Stock Photo
