The Webster modulation system is anew method of circulating steam at lowpressure, and provides a satisfactory-heating system for small and mediumsized buildings. In principle the Web-. ster modulation system is essentially thesame as the Webster system of steamcirculation except that no pump norother exhausting apparatus is neces-sary. The differential between the sup-ply and return lines is maintained asusual by the Webster water seal valve, and the return piping being vented tothe atmosphere there is never more thanatmospheric pressure therein. The re-turn water is separated from the air andgravitates to a low point on the systemfrom whence it is returned to the boilers. Webster Modulation Valve.
