Wrought iron gates protect the Cowdray Ruins which are a landmark of Midhurst, W Sussex, England and are the former home of the Montague family. Built in 1542, it was largely destroyed by fire in 1793 and is now managed by the Cowdray Heritage Trust set up by the current Viscount Cowdray to secure a future for the Cowdray Ruins.
