An Indian paramilitary trooper shields himself from stones hurled by Kashmiri demonstrators during clashes in Srinagar, Indian administered Kashmir. Clashes erupted between Kashmiri protesters and Indian government forces soon after the Friday congregational prayers ended in the Grand Mosque in Srinagar. Dozens of protesters were injured after Indian security forces fired pellets and tear smoke canisters. The stone throwing protesters were protesting against Indian rule.
