This marathon covers 26 miles and 385 yards. It is held on Patriots Day in Hopkinton, Mass every year. Originally it started as a local event,, but grew much larger when pro runners wanted a cash award for winning or placing. This race is attended by thousdands of runners and tourists as well. It is the world's oldest marathon race. It begins in Hopkinton and ends in Copley Square in Boston.
