Our visit is looked forward to as a godsend, for the money spent by the ship is a great help, and the poor people feel they are not altogether abandoned or for- gC'tten in the world. We left the Bay of Is- lands finally on 13th October, and after coaling at Sydney, Cape Breton, returned to St John's on the 18th, and soon afterwards joined the Admiral at Halifax.
