A flintlock rifle, Zimmermann in Riga, circa 1720. Heavy octagonal barrel of finely patterned Damascus with lightly swamped muzzle. Twelve groove rifling in 18 mm calibre. Dovetailed sights, a blank silver plate on top of the barrel. Lightly engraved flintlock with the signature, " Zimmermann - Riga". Walnut full stock with horn nose cap. Lightly engraved and chiselled iron furniture, open work side plate. Butt stock with patchbox. Original wooden ramrod with iron tip.
