Parson's chameleon. Image 3 of 3. Male Parson's chameleon (Calumma parsonii) with a grasshopper in its mouth. It caught the grasshopper on the end of its sticky tongue. The tongue can equal the length of the chameleon's body. This chameleon, also called the helmeted chameleon, lives in the forests of Madagascar. Like most chameleons, it can change colour according to its mood and environment. The male Parson's chameleon has a pair of blunt nasal horns on its snout, which the female does not have.
