161229-N-CL027-176 NORFOLK (Dec. 30, 2016) Sailors, assigned to the guided-missile destroyer USS Mason (DDG 87), man the rails as the ship returns to homeport at Naval Station Norfolk. Mason, part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, conducted a 7-month combat deployment in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts to the 5th and 6th Fleet areas of operations.
