At the December meeting of the St. Douis Railway Club, Ihad the pleasure of presenting to the members a blue print madefrom a tracing made in 1863 of an eight wheeler designed by W. Cushing, and built in 1S64 for the Chicago & North-western Railway. The engine in question was called the Barth-olomew, and had cylinders 16 x 22, and drivers 66 locomotive carried 130 pounds working pressure, and I amtold that it was a smart piece of machinery.
