The Market. Florists situated near cemeteries are busy now with their early grave deco- rations. Pansy plants compose a large part of these decorations. On Memorial day these will give way to potted geraniums, decorative plants, etc. Baskets of flowering pansy plants are coming into the market in considerable quantities at present and the volume is increasing daily. There continue to be increased sales in seeds of all kinds, as well as hardy rose bushes, potted roses and shrubs of all kinds. Various Notes. Harry I. Stein, of the Public Service Terminal Flower Shop, reports business excellent. He is constantly increasing his floor space on the main concourse. The Lackawanna railroad has been given a verdict in the Supreme court for the second time in the $5,000 dam- age suit brought against it by W. A. Manda, South Orange. The case has been in court three times in the last two years. The first time the jury dis- agreed. The basis of the suit was that shrubbery and trees had been destroyed by fire caused by sparks from an engine of the railroad, April 1, 1917. The de- fense was that every statutory precau- tion to prevent fires from engine sparks had been observed. The second trial was obtained automatically from the disagreement of the jury in the first case. The third trial was granted on appeal from alleged errors in Judge Mountain's charge to the jurv. E".
