. English: Nambekavu. Nabekavu, (Nambekavu), an island in the river Tuvu, about two miles from its mouth. The island is occupied by a town. The river empties itself into the sea on the north coast of Vanua Levu, at about twenty miles from its north-east point. Engraving found in the second volume of Fiji and the Fijian. These illustrations are unattributed, but some of them may have been done by the wife of his colleague Rev. Richard Burdsall Lyth, who was a friend of Mrs. Calvert and a gifted artist, or they may have been by Thomas Williams, also a talented artist in his own right. circa 1858
