Otto Sander's store on Seventh street attracted a lot of attention last week with its pretty window display of sea- sonable bulbous stock. He reports tran- sient trade as being large all the week. The County Growers' Association did not hold its monthly meeting February 26, as stated in my notes last week. The date should have read March 5, the first Wednesday in each month being the regular meeting date. The consignments of the W. A. Rowe Co. to the Windier Wholesale Floral Co. last week were of extra fine quality in all seasonable bulbous stock, carnations and sweet peas. The Bowe establish- ment is one of the largest in Kirkwood. At the Missouri Botanical Garden a number of interesting plants are now in full bloom in the various conservatories. One of the leading attractions now is the false holly, Chorizema ilieifolium, with its showy masses of orange-red, pea-shaped fiowers. Corporal C. L. Moody, who has been at Gamp Devens, Mass., for the last year, has been dis- charged from the army and is now back at the garden, filling his former posi- tion as foreman of outdoor gardens. J. J. B.
