Jar with Cartouches of Merneptah ca. 1213–1203 New Kingdom, Ramesside The handles of this jar are in the shape of ibex heads. It was one of thirteen similar vases found outside the tomb of Merneptah in the Valley of the Kings; some bore the name of Ramesses III and others that of his successor Merneptah. A hieratic notation on the neck of this vase gives its capacity as 22 Jar with Cartouches of Merneptah. ca. 1213–1203 Aragonite. New Kingdom, Ramesside.
