Yap has beautiful scenery; the groves of bamboo, croton, cocoanutand areca palms are very fine indeed. Huge green and yellow tree-lizards, called Gahif, are found in the bush, and the nights are brilliantAvith fireflies glittering in and out of the woods like showers of golden.
