In here is a winding stairs by which the upper floorswere reached ; since the castle was burned, these stairs have been replaced by somerustic steps, which go up to the second story on the outside, and then inside to thetop where there are seats to rest after the climb. There are two ways to make this ramble and see it all : keep the train to Arrochar,walk up to the castle, then down to, and hack through tin- Frt, to Fort Wadsworthstation ; or get off at that station, ami walk along the parapets and past the tower toArrochar.
