Firefighters assigned to the 9thCivil Engineer Squadron lineup preparing for a visit by Col. Heather A. Fox, 9th Reconnaissance Wing commander, June 11, 2021, at Beale Air Force Base, California. Col. Fox visited to thank the Beale Fire Department for their immediate response to the Intanko Fire June 8, 2021. The fire burned approximately 939 acres in total on and off the installation, which posed a danger to the residents who reside in base housing.
